UNDERWRITING SPECIALIST

Mr. Leisher plays a pivotal role in many complex and highly successful estate tax mitigation strategies that Ashton Group provides. As an Underwriting Specialist, he works to build a comprehensive medical profile, and then performs exhaustive evaluation before submitting it to insurance carriers for approval. Mr. Leisher uses his expertise to streamline the underwriting process and help Ashton Group clients obtain life insurance coverage and terms that fit their individual needs and goals.

After serving as a Navy corpsman with the Marines during the Vietnam War, Mr. Leisher became a Registered Nurse and worked as a surgical nurse at the prestigious Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California. Mr. Leisher then joined the family business, Underwriters Advisory Service (now known as BISYS Insurance, a multi-billion dollar NYSE company). At the time, he was one of the first individuals to combine his expertise in both the medical and insurance fields to benefit clients seeking life insurance solutions. Over the next two decades Mr. Leisher worked for several top insurance firms, and developed innovative practices and processes that are now widely utilized across the insurance industry. His medical expertise, product development knowledge, and insight into the primary and secondary insurance markets help ensure that every Ashton Group client receives the most valuable life insurance underwriting possible.
